Curmudgeons Hollow

Sold

Crunch, Snap, what could it be?

In the misty forest, I cannot see

woosh, cackle, bubble, hiss

my instincts tell me somethings a miss

I should run, I should hide

But the roots appeared, my feet are tied

I pull and struggle to no avail

Just over the ridge is a haunting wail

Towering above it clears the fog

I am frozen still like a sitting dog

She found me here, I have no choice

She draws me in with her wicked voice

I didn’t believe the tales told

A walking house, all shabby and old

Stay on the trail, look for the signs to follow

Or you will meet Curmudgeons Hollow
