It was a wine night

Surrounded by candle light

The world was there but I didn’t care

The story of a boy, who found a boy

& from that boy, he found such joy

From me to you this poem rings true

I.O.U. for the life we have created

I.O.U. for the compassion you share

I.O.U. for the panic you’ve sedated

I.O.U. for knowing that you care

No matter how dark a day may be

That table for 2 is what I see

My racing heart finds it beat

There you are, making life so sweet
