The green ceramic base is from a retro set from the 70’s. A blue plate lets the burnt grey spindle sit evenly.
I decided to add a mid-point that resembled the growth spurt of a mushroom and painted it a high gloss blue and antiqued with aa ash rub, then kept the same color flow for the top spindle.
The main hardware is all painted with the same blue and antiqued with an ash rub.
The lampshade is a large drum that I wrapped in a printed and dyed cotton fabric with large florals in earth tones. The trim is white cotton bias tape.
The inner drum is painted and sealed with a translucent glow in the dark gel that takes in the light and when it turns off gives a soft teal glow.
