Cordelia

Cordelia, Cordelia under the moon

You pass through the shadows,

                            not a moment too soon

I sit here in shock, I stare in dismay

Trying to figure out the words to say

How did we get here,

                    why did they choose pain

Has the world lost its nerve,

                            have we all gone insane

The mind at night can be a brutal friend

The heart looks for a light to heal and mend

That’s when she comes,

                               at the darkest hour

Spreading her light like a sun kissed flower

Cordelia, Cordelia here by my side

Thanks for your compassion at this turn of the tide
